The offering was disappointing and scanty at best, so we decided to make it ourselves. Neilly's food was born, named after our daughter Neilly who inspired the endeavor. Neilly's Food products turn ordinary meals into extraordinary meals in minutes. Jollof Rice is a very popular West African Dish. It is known to have it's origins among the Wolof people of Senegal and Gambia. Although there are many variations across west Africa of Jollof Rice the basic ingredients are the same. Long Grain Parboiled Rice, Tomato Powder, Sundried Tomato, Onion Flakes, Chopped Garlic Flakes, Red Pepper, Salt, Black Pepper, Spices.
Directions
Cooking Directions: Stove Top: Step 1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2-1/4 cups of water to boil. Add 1 tbsp of olive oil or butter. Add 1 cup of Neilly's Jollof Rice Mix, stir and cover tightly. Step 2. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until water is fully absorbed. Step 3. Remove from heat, let stand for 5 minutes, fluff with a fork and serve. Microwave: Step 1. Combine 2-1/4 cups of water, 1 cup of Neilly's Jollof Rice Mix and 1 tbsp of olive oil or butter in a microwave safe container. Step 2. Cover and cook on medium power for 20 minutes. Step 3. Remove from microwave, let stand covered for 5 minutes, fluff with a fork and serve. Microwave ovens vary so cooking times given are approximate.
